  • Day 1, the old deck has already been removed and today we erect the posts that will support the deck.

  • The posts are up and the beams on both sides of the floor are up.  The center post will be used as a crane to raise the main beam that will support the outer edge of the deck. That will be done the next day.

  • Day 2.  The 16 foot lumber arrives

  • The long lumber is delivered most of the way to the back of the house.

  • The main beam is prepared and the hoist is assembled.

  • Hoist cable goes through a pulley attached to the top of the post.  2X4s are added to the top of the post to raise the beam to the proper height.
